Barbara O'Meara has a B.A. (Hons) Degree in Fine Art and a Post Graduate Higher Diploma in Community Arts Education.  She has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions in Ireland and U.K. and has also exhibited as far as Italy, Estonia, and Australia.  As an undergraduate she was short listed for the Markieviez Medal at the United Arts Club and the Rose Project Student Art Awards at the Lab.

As a result of continuous research exploring her ancestry in Northern Ireland together with issues concerning migration and identity, this exhibition of paintings 'A Tribe of Flowers' draws comparisons between her family history and a unique collection of Irish native wildflowers.
