"That morning I remembered the lonely mountain walk, isolated from my family, on that black bitumen strip, on this beautiful summer's day. I was crying, and I didn't know why."
Manic depression is a mental illness that lulls the unsuspecting human into an existence of emotional highs and lows. All thoughts about human bahaviour can change, and all rules that govern existence can be broken. Why Am I? is an autobiographical play where the author details some of his experiences with manic depression and his attempts to survive an illness where many have succumbed to suicide.
