A young lad from Belfast, George Best was the first true celebrity footballer and an unforgettable sporting legend whose skill and courage embodied for many the spirit of the 1960s.
His style and grace on the pitch, which set him above his fellow players and helped him take the international football stage by storm, inspired Pele to descibe him as "the best player in the world".
This dynamic and fast paced piece of dance theatre from Maiden Voyage celebrates Best's football genius and leads the audience through glimpses of his life, loves, lows, and triumphs spanning a 40 year period.
Choreographed by Andy Howitt (Scotland).
Performance supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
Additional Information: An outreach workshop programme will accompany this performance and be made available on request to youth groups/clubs in TSN areas who attend the performance.
