The talented and dedicated McGuinness School of Dancing, Limavady, was founded in 1982 by Mrs Carmel Smyth (nee McGuinness) as a cross community dancing school and it has subsequently grown from strength to strength, currently teaching traditional Irish Dancing to over 100 pupils.
More than 40 of these girls aged 5 to 18 have worked tirelessly to perfect their routines which they perform regularly at charity events and concerts. Tonight’s performance entitled Dance Above The Rainbow has been created and developed by Carmel and her daughter, Alyson, to skilfully incorporate a mix of both traditional and modern Irish Dancing. This promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable show that is guaranteed to capture your imagination and get your feet tapping.
