The University of Ulster’s School of Creative Arts presents From Both Hips by George Devine Award Winner, Mark O’Rowe, one of Ireland’s leading contemporary playwrights. O’Rowe’s stage successes include Howie The Rookie (Rooney Prize for Irish Literature and Irish Times/EBS Irish Theatre Award for Best New Play, 1999), Terminus (Edinburgh Fringe First, 2008 ) and the highly acclaimed screenplay Intermission (IFTA Award, 2003).
Described as “smart, screwy, and very agreeable entertainment”, the play is a black comic thriller in which one man seeks revenge on the man who accidentally shot him. Misunderstandings and an adulterous affair only make a bad situation worse, with comic results.
